During the winter and spring of 2014, a team of teachers and administrators from across the district worked to write a competitive grant application. The grant required us to examine our practices in four blueprint areas in our district: Career Pathways, Professional Development, Evaluation and Professional Growth, and Compensation. In June of 2014 we received notification that we were successful in our application for year 1 and in August of 2015, we received notification that we were successful in in our second year application.
As we look forward, we are keeping our vision in front of us for our continued success in implementing programs and leaders in areas that will have a direct impact in classrooms and increased student success. We are also heavily focusing on building internal capacity to build systems that will be sustainable long after grant monies have ceased.
