A Message from Principal Cross
Hello Pirate Families!
Happy August! As summer wraps up, we are looking forward to welcoming students back on campus. As the new principal of Phoenix High School, I am excited to participate in the legacies and traditions that are known and loved by PHS students, staff, and families. I am equally as excited to partner with this community to create new memories and to achieve academic greatness during the 2022-2023 school year.
My heart for Phoenix High School is for us to partner with students and families to create graduates who are ready for their next steps in the world. Because of that, our clear expectations for students at PHS show that we care for them. This year we will be focusing on three priorities: attendance, student support and communication with families. We believe these three clear areas of focus will set students up for success now and in the future. You will continue to hear about these pillars to success through the 2022-2023 school year.
At PHS we are committed to ensuring that each and every one of our students finds success. Because of that commitment, we will be hosting meetings with parents throughout the fall with the goal to spend the next several weeks gathering information about your family’s education values. We want to make sure that our vision reflects our community’s values and what we are doing at PHS is serving students and families well. Please take a moment to share your answers to these 4 quick questions and stay tuned for an invitation to meet with me to check in about PHS serving the community well.
To kick off the school year, we will be hosting our in-person registration event on August 24th, 25th and 26th. In-person registration is where students will get their schedule, take their yearbook/student body picture, have the opportunity to tour campus, and have their questions answered about the upcoming school year. We can’t wait to see you there!
Enjoy the next few weeks of summer. We look forward to seeing you soon!
