FAQ

Is the PTS Rising Locker available to all students at all schools or just middle school students, since it is housed there?

Each school in the Phoenix-Talent School District, including Phoenix High, has a Rising Locker and all students have access to the locker. Every staff member at each of our schools has access to the locker and can escort students to the locker for whatever they may need. Each locker also has resource materials for students to take that provide further information about local agencies that can offer more permanent support.

Does the PTS Rising Locker have what is needed to meet the needs of students?

Yes, but we go through items quickly, so we are always in need of funds to keep the locker full.

Is there a specific item or category that seems difficult to keep in stock?

Sports bras, T-shirts, hoodies, sweat pants, leggings and sneakers tend to be in high demand.

What, as a donation, is more useful for students in need — items or gift cards?

We do not have the staff to inventory and organize actual items, and it is hard to guess which sizes will be needed most. Therefore, gift cards and cash donations are the best way to help our students in need. Checks can be made out to "Phoenix Talent School District #4," and please add "Rising Locker" in the memo line.
