Dear PHS Seniors and Families,

As part of College Application Week, set for Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 7, Phoenix High School will offer a variety of activities and events to help seniors plan for their futures and celebrate their progress toward college and career goals.

Throughout the week, seniors will have opportunities to work on college applications, financial aid forms, and career exploration in the Future Planning Center. Each day will feature a special theme:

  • Monday: “I Applied” Day — Celebrate students who have submitted college or program applications!
  • Tuesday: Financial Aid & College Application Workshop — Seniors can work on their FAFSA, ORSAA, and college applications all day in the Future Planning Center.
    • Parents and guardians are invited to join their students from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. for assistance and support.
  • Wednesday: Cookies4Apps! — Enjoy cookies while completing applications, and possibly help staff decorate their doors for the annual door-decorating contest.
  • Thursday: 1st Gen Day & College Swag Day — Celebrate our first-generation college-bound students and show your school pride by wearing college gear.
  • Friday: Southern Oregon University “On-the-Spot” Admission — Representatives from SOU will be on campus from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to offer same-day admission decisions to eligible students.

This week is a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to take important steps toward their post-secondary goals and for families to be involved in the process. If you have any questions, please contact the Phoenix High School Counseling Department at 541-535-1526, extension 3071.

We look forward to an exciting and productive College Application Week!
