Healthy Start Block Party returning to PTS

The Phoenix-Talent School District invites all local families to attend the annual Healthy Start Block Party on Saturday, August 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Phoenix High School.

Designed to help families prepare for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, this free community event brings together healthcare providers, local organizations, and community partners to offer a wide variety of services, resources, and activities all in one convenient location.

Families can take advantage of:

• Well-child visits (first come, first served)
• Sports physicals (insurance will be billed)
• Oral health screenings
• Free haircuts and vouchers for free haircuts
• Free lunch
• Community organizations offering valuable family and community resources
• Kids' activities, including face painting and art projects
• Preschool supplies provided by community partners
• Free giveaways and other swag

Whether your child needs a sports physical before fall athletics, you're looking for helpful community resources, or you simply want to kick off the new school year with a fun family event, the Healthy Start Block Party is a great place to start.

The event is free and open to all local families – you do not need to be a Phoenix-Talent School District family to attend.
