Kinder Launch countdown begins

 

Is your child starting kindergarten this fall? We know this is a big milestone for both children and parents, and we want to make the transition as smooth and exciting as possible! Kinder Launch is the perfect opportunity to introduce your child to their new school, meet teachers, and begin the registration process – all in a fun and welcoming environment.

Starting kindergarten is a big step, and attending Kinder Launch will help set your child up for success! Not only will families get important enrollment information, but children will get a sneak peek at their new learning space, making the first day of school much less overwhelming. Plus, we’ll share helpful tips on how to prepare your child for kindergarten, so they feel confident and ready to learn on day one. What to Expect:

• Meet Our Amazing Kindergarten Teachers – Get to know the educators who will guide your child’s learning journey.
• Explore the Classrooms – See where your child will learn, grow, and make new friends.
• Begin the Online Registration Process – Get assistance with enrollment and ensure your child is ready for the first day.
• Learn About District Programs – Discover what makes PTS special, including our incredible Two-Way Bilingual Immersion (TWBI) program!
• Receive Kindergarten Readiness Tips – Get expert advice on how to help your child prepare for school.
• Get Helpful Information – Learn about kindergarten schedules, expectations, and how to support your child’s transition.
• Connect With Other Families – Build connections with other incoming kindergarten families in our community.

What to Bring:

• Your incoming kindergartener – We can’t wait to meet them!
• Proof of age (birth certificate or other documents). Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 to enroll.
• Proof of address (i.e. recent utility bill).
• Birth certificate – Your child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 to enroll.
• Up-to-date immunization records – Ensure your child is ready for a healthy start. Click here to see a list of immunizations required by the state of Oregon this school year.
