Playgroup coming to OES

 

PTS families and community members,

We are excited to announce a new Read, Play, Talk parent-and-child playgroup coming to Orchard Hill Elementary School—the first playgroup of its kind at this site!

Read, Play, Talk may be familiar to some families by its former name, Kaleidoscope Playgroup. This program has previously been offered at Talent Elementary, and we are thrilled to expand it to Orchard Hill.

About the Playgroup

Read, Play, Talk is a free, drop-in playgroup for children ages 0–5 and their parents or caregivers. The playgroup supports early learning through play, storytelling, crafts, and opportunities for families to connect with one another. Parents and caregivers must stay with their child during the playgroup.

The playgroup will be facilitated by retired teacher Linda Maiorella, in partnership with Southern Oregon Early Learning Services.

Details

• When: Thursdays, 9:30–11:00 a.m.

• Start Date: Thursday, January 8, 2026

• Where: Story Room, Orchard Hill Elementary School
  1011 La Loma Drive, Medford, OR 97504

• Who Can Attend: Children ages 0–5 and their parents/guardians
  (Families do NOT need to be enrolled in a PTS school to attend)

• Cost: Free

• Registration: Not required — drop in anytime!

• Crafts and hands-on activities

• Snacks

• Opportunities to connect with other families
