Dear PTS families,

Phoenix-Talent School District is pleased to announce a new summer opportunity for students entering grades K–7: Rising Readers at the Club, a partnership between Phoenix-Talent Schools, the Boys & Girls Club of the Rogue Valley, and the Institute of Reading Development.

This program will run from June 15 through August 28 at the Boys & Girls Club in Talent (elementary students) and Talent Middle School (middle school students), and is designed to help students strengthen their reading skills while enjoying a summer filled with learning, enrichment, and recreation.

Students enrolled in Rising Readers at the Club will receive:

  • Daily live reading tutoring and literacy support during July
  • Access to online reading activities and learning tools
  • Summer enrichment and care through the Boys & Girls Club
  • Extended program hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. to support working families

As part of this partnership, Phoenix-Talent School District will cover the cost of your child’s Boys & Girls Club summer program for families who commit to participation in the Rising Readers literacy program and maintain regular attendance in reading tutoring sessions.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to continue building literacy skills, stay connected with peers, and participate in a structured, engaging summer program at no cost to families.

If you are interested in enrolling your child, please complete the registration form: Click to open the registration page. There are a limited number of spots, so we encourage families to register as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting student learning. We look forward to providing a summer of growth, learning, and fun for our students.

Sincerely,

Phoenix-Talent School District
