SNAP help during shutdown

A logo for a story

During the ongoing federal government shutdown, families who rely on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits may experience a delay in receiving those funds.

The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) will issue benefits as soon as federal operations resume.

If you already have funds on your EBT card, you can continue to use them as normal — SNAP benefits do not expire, and your current balance will remain available.
