Wanted: WEB leaders
Is your 7th grader ready to develop leadership skills while making a positive impact at school? We're excited to announce recruitment for next year's WEB Leaders program!
What is the WEB Program?
WEB ("Where Everybody Belongs") is our school's mentorship initiative that pairs 8th-grade student leaders with incoming 6th graders to ease their transition to middle school. This valuable program:
- Develops crucial leadership skills that benefit students in high school and beyond
- Builds confidence through guided mentoring experiences
- Looks impressive on high school applications and resumes
- Creates a more welcoming and supportive school environment for everyone
- Provides meaningful service opportunities that colleges and employers value
WEB Leaders plan and host engaging events throughout the year such as cookie decorating, movie nights, and donut day celebrations – all while developing organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Important Dates for Interested Students:
Informational Sessions:
- Tuesday, April 22nd during Homeroom
- Thursday, April 24th during 7th/8th grade lunch
Applications will be distributed at these sessions and must be submitted no later than Tuesday, April 29th at 3:30 PM.
How You Can Help
If you believe your 7th grader would benefit from this leadership opportunity, please encourage them to attend one of the informational sessions. This program is particularly valuable for students who want to build confidence, develop public speaking skills, or take on more responsibility at school.
