If you live in Jackson County, Oregon and need assistance due to conditions caused directly by the COVID-19 pandemic, you may qualify for help from the United Way of Jackson County COVID-19 Fund.

La Clinica is offering "Parking Lot Immunization Clinics." Shots are available to children ages 2-18 at no charge to the patients. Click here for details.

Did you know that Oregon is giving grocery money to families while school is closed? All families who are eligible for free or reduced price school meals will soon get funds on an Oregon Trail EBT card. Immigration status does not matter for Pandemic EBT. AND you can still get “grab and go” meals from schools and other organizations during the pandemic!

If you already get SNAP or free school meals, you’ll get the benefits automatically. Make sure your school has your current mailing address.

Don’t miss out. If you weren’t getting help before the pandemic, apply online for free school meals at Apply for SNAP benefits here. If you qualify for either program, you’ll also get Pandemic-EBT!

The YMCA is providing Emergency Child Care for children of medical staff, health care workers, first responders, vulnerable families, and essential workers find a safe place for children while they need to work. Caring for your child’s health while school is closed

La Clinica is offering student mental health services over the phone and in video visits while schools are closed this spring. Parents can make appointments between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays for short-term issues or long-term counseling. The service is available in English and Spanish. Here’s how it works: Is this for any mental health issue or specific issues? This service is available for kindergartners through 12th-graders.

Therapists are available to work with any mental health concern and can work with families as well as individuals. How long are visits? Visits are 30 to 60 minutes depending on need. What do visits include? Services include a comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, individual therapy, and family therapy as needed. Are you able to offer long-term counseling beyond this time of closures? La Clinica’s school-based therapists offer mental health counseling all year long.

How does payment work? La Clinica accepts most private insurance and Oregon Health Plan and offers an income-based sliding scale for uninsured patients. Call 541-326-2964 for more information.

While schools are closed, La Clinica is providing medical care through virtual and phone visits and at its health centers. It is also providing emergency dental care at East Medford Dental Clinic for anyone who needs it. Call us at 541-535-6239 or visit to learn more.

  • Keep Americans Connected Pledge: Companies such as Verizon, Spring, T-Mobile, AT&T, and others have agreed to not terminate service due to nonpayment, are waiving late fees, and offering WiFi hotspots
  • Charter: Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription. To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. Wifi spots opened up for public use.
  • Comcast:- Free Xfinity WiFi hotspots open to anyone, unlimited data at no additional charge, no disconnects or late fees, 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials for new customers, new educational material for school-age students, 24x7 network monitoring, increasing speeds from 15/2 MBPS to 25/3 for all new and existing customers.

  • DHS COVID-19 Family Wellbeing Assessment: a conversation guide provided by DHS/Child Welfare for education staff and community partner to use when interacting with children and caregivers during the COVID-10 related school closures. When it is not possible to see children and caregivers in person, phone calls or quick interactions during food distruction may be the only opportunity to assess whether children are safe. Responses to questions, the tone of an interaction, or an inability to make contact with a child or caregiver may reveal stressors or circumstances that require a report to the Oregon Child Abuse Hotline (ORCAH). The Oregon Child Abuse Hotline is still open 24/7 to accept reports of suspected abuse or neglect by calling 1-855-503-SAFE (7233)
  • Oregon Food Finder: Oregon Food Bank's interactive web application for finding food pantries and food assistance sites
  • Emergency Dental Care from Medical Teams International: Mobile Dental vans have transitioned to providing emergency dental care with special permission from state governors who've recognized this as an essential service during the COVID-19 outbreak
  • OEA Grant Expansion: OEA members can apply for this grant on behalf of a student. Due to COVID-10 pandemic, members can now apply for grants to help a student's family cover food, rent, and utilities, as well as the normal coverage for things like clothing, shoes, vision care including eyeglasses, dental care, medication, personal hygiene items, doctor's visits, hearing care and backpacks.
